Life is fragile

“Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth” - Proverbs 27:1

Coronavirus has put a pause on all our lives. Many of us had holidays, weddings and parties to look forward to. This virus has caused us to stop for a minute and appreciate what is most important. Many of us are short-sighted, focusing on temporary pleasures instead of the greater issues of life and eternity. We have been humbled at how fragile life is, and how within a few weeks our lives can rapidly change.

Reading this verse should remind us that we are never promised to see tomorrow. Death could come swiftly, or the Lord Jesus Christ could come this very day or night; but are you ready?

Can you say that you have trusted in Him and that you are sure of a place in Heaven when life is over? If not:

“Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2).

You can have eternal life as a free gift offered to you this very day, by putting your trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9).
